Hot Toys Avengers II - Age of Ultron - 1/6 Scale Mark XLIII
I gotta say before we are done with all the 42 ironman suits, we are bombarded with Mark XLIII or Mark 43 right out from the upcoming Avengers II - Age of Ultron. Frankly, there were a lot of praise on Mark 42 diecast figure from Hot Toys when they released it. Somehow, gold armour for an ironman figure is not really the kind of taste for some collectors but due to its nature being the last armour you ever collect from the Ironman 3 movie, it was a sold out.
With the introduction of Mark 43, a mixture of gold + red and an amazing base depicting heavy damage of Mark I Ultron is somehow an incredible collector's dream. If you look at Ultron Mark I is seem to be a product of the Avengers as depicted on Ultron's chest armour Avengers emblem/logo.
This could possibly summarised the whole story as below (My version of the story) :-
"In order to safeguard Earth from any future alien invasion/hostility, Tony Stark has teamed up with the Avengers to develop an army of AI mech suits which later was known as Ultron. Somehow, the advance AI has develop a self awareness and eventually as a highly evolve sentient being. Ultron eventually take over the earth and destroy the Avengers."
Well, we do have Mark 43 and Hulkbuster to save the day! I wonder whether Marvel will throw in a Red Hulk in the movie, perhaps in some future release.

Hot Toys Ironman 3 - 1/6 Scale Striker Mark XXV
If there's a Hot Toys Ironman 3 figure that has some originality, it has to be Striker Mark XXV. This Ironman suit really does show some no nonsense body armour with its jackhammer on both arms. I'm not totally sure whether the jackhammer can be dismantled but if its not, it'll be a bit redundant to just pose it in such a way. (E.g. Red snapper)
If only the original design has a little bit more yellow colour around its armour which will really separates itself as a cool ironman suit to die/buy for.The chest arc reactor is also interesting as it's in a narrow rectangular shape making it a huge departure from the usual circular or the traingular shapes. However, with the price that it's commanding which is very close to a diecast figure and that may hinder most collectors from buying.
Well, there are still some of us who might still be collecting the complete 'House Party Protocol' suits but not forgetting the Mark 42 new colour scheme from Avengers 2 and Hulkbuster which might just come in the near future! The road is long and curvy. You might just need to pave your way with some hard cash to make good these uneven roads and try as hard as you can to reach the light at the end of tunnel.

MAKETOYS MTCombiner Series MTCM-03 / Quantron
Sometimes it's great to hear some 3rd party companies giving what fans really want and Maketoys has surely delivered in terms of cool transformable G1 robots. Well, let's just say Transformers really need some great G1 toys. We all have already seen the Green Giant Type 61 or what we all fans called Constructicons/Hercules from Maketoys and now with the introduction of MTCombiner Series MTCM-03 / Quantron aka Computron, we are all hyped up with the overall detailing on this outstanding mec.
The most interesting part of this figure is the 5 Sci-Fi combiner vehicles are able to transform into very nice G1 style robots. Once Quantron form are combined from these 5 mechs, the final form looks spectacular and most importantly the joints are very well made. Quantron itself is standing at 28cm in height slightly higher than Green Giant.
Enough say and let's just feast our anticiopation with these great production photos.
